Lovely Day

Since becomming a mum I have never spent so much time in the park. Good job we are surrounded by nice parks.

On Friday we went to Dulwich Park, to make the most of the lovelyish weather. Technically it is at the end of our road but really it is a good 20mins walk there. We met up with Gem, FoJ and Tora for whippersnappers in the gingerbread house (AKA College Lodge). We had not been before but now Lil T is 1 he needs a bit more entertainment. It was really good but Lil T was a little bit unsure what with it being his first time but I know he is going to love it - lots of singing and dressing up.

Then onto lunch in the Pavillion which is lovely and mainly full of other Mothers and small children (I loath the term Yummy Mummy, but this is Dulwich after all!) followed by swings!

Although it only takes 20mins to get to the park it takes about 40 to get home up a massive hill. One problem with living in Crystal Palace (Highest point in London dont you know?) is everything is up hill at some point!
Luckily the walk is a nice one up the quietest road with huge houses and trees to look at

Oh and the beautiful Dulwich College.

Par-tay!

Lil T had a great party with his little friends. Unfortunatly it was a miserable day so we had to have it inside which was a bit of a squeeze.

I made a cake (which actually tasted really nice) and my sister made cupcakes just incase we didn't have enough!

The birthday boy with his donkey tail worn as a head band (thats how all the cool kids are wearing them don't you know?!) Juice box and Happyland person stylists own.

Lil T got loads of cool presents and a fight nearly broke out over the 'Old MacDonald' Tractor...

Order was restored when a second tractor was found in the toy box.

Mmmm, cake!

Decorations, so sad to take them down. I made the gingham bunting and got the rainbow plastic bunting for £1 for 10m (Amazing!) from Tiger.

Just love this...

I have seen these a few places now and just love them. Lil T has only just got his first pair of shoes and I can't really justify (let alone afford) the price tag but oh, the lust!

This time last year!

I can't believe how fast this year has gone. Lil T is one, well was on Friday. I spent the whole of Thursday, Friday and Saturday playing 'this time last year'. Which I always love doing. Thursday night we had Toad in the hole for dinner (sorry no pictures- I still havn't got the hang of this photographing everything for the blog business, its only after the fact that I think 'oh, that would be good'). Anyway back to the story, we had Toad in the hole the night before Lil T was born - I know because my mum made it at Toms request and there was loads - I am sure the amount I ate pushed the baby out! I have now decided it is going to be one of our traditions.

I spent the night waking up thinking this time last year the contractions started, this time last year we were driving to the hospital, this time last year you were born and on and on and on!

We had got Lil T a circus tent wendy house from Ikea for his birthday and put all of his presents inside - I loved it. We spent most of the day opening presents interupted by a trip to Gems for cake and a trip to the park, then on with more present opening.

He is having a little party next weekend so I am keeping my fingers crossed the weather is nice so we can have it outside.
